Miliband: Labour can change to deal with falling public spending

Labour will go into the next election detailing billions of pounds of cuts, Ed Miliband signalled yesterday as he sought to convince Middle Britain that he was serious about erasing the deficit.

He plotted a fresh course for his leadership, insisting that he was ready to make “difficult choices” to reflect the “new reality” of prolonged austerity.
